# Canceling a Volume Transfer

## Prerequisite

* The Project's wallet balance must be greater than 0 ([see how to top up a project's wallet](https://docs-epc.gitbook.io/ncs-documents/ncs-documents-en/nipa-cloud-space-overview/billing-and-wallet/topup-a-project-wallet)).
* A Volume transfer must have been initiated ([see how to transfer a volume](https://docs-epc.gitbook.io/ncs-documents/ncs-documents-en/storage/block-storage/managing-volume-s/transferring-a-volume)).

## Instructions

### 1.  **Initiate the Cancellation**

On the Volumes page, select the Volume for which you want to cancel the transfer, then click the **MORE > "Cancel Transfer Across Projects"** button.

A Volume that has been initiated for transfer but has not yet been accepted by the destination Project will have a status of <mark style="color:yellow;">Awaiting Transfer</mark> and cannot be used during this time.

### 2.  **Confirm the Cancellation**

After clicking the "Cancel Transfer Across Projects" menu, a confirmation window will appear. Review the details and click **"CONFIRM"** to finalize the command.

### 3.  **The Volume will return to normal operation upon completion**

Once the cancellation is successful, the Volume's status will change back to <mark style="color:green;">**Healthy**</mark>, and it will be available for use as normal.
