# Accepting a Volume Transfer

## Prerequisite

* The Project's wallet balance must be greater than 0 ([see how to top up a project's wallet](https://docs-epc.gitbook.io/ncs-documents/ncs-documents-en/nipa-cloud-space-overview/billing-and-wallet/topup-a-project-wallet)).
* A Volume transfer must have been initiated by another project ([see how to transfer a volume](https://docs-epc.gitbook.io/ncs-documents/ncs-documents-en/storage/block-storage/managing-volume-s/transferring-a-volume)).

## Instructions

### 1.  **Open the Accept Volume Transfer window**

On the Volumes page, click the **'Accept Volume Transfer'** button.

### 2. **Enter the transfer details**

* **Transfer ID:** Enter the ID received from the sender.
* **Authentication Key:** Enter the key received from the sender.

### 3. **Confirm the Volume Transfer Acceptance**

The transferred volume will appear in your list with a status of "Creating." It will be ready for use once its status changes to **Healthy**.
