# Create an External IP

## Prerequisite

* The project's wallet balance must be greater than 0 ([see how to top up a project's wallet](https://docs-epc.gitbook.io/ncs-documents/ncs-documents-en/nipa-cloud-space-overview/billing-and-wallet/topup-a-project-wallet)).

## Instruction

### 1. **Create an External IP**

Click the **+ "External IP"** button.

### 2. **Fill in the details to create the External IP**

* **Name:** A name for the External IP.
  * Can only contain English letters (A-Z, a-z), numbers (0-9), hyphens (-), or underscores (\_).
  * Must be between 4 and 20 characters long.
* **Availability Zone:** The zone for the External IP.
* **External Network:** The network pool for the External IP.

### 3. **Confirm to create the External IP.**
